Martin Kelsey
OBE started birding as a small boy fifty years ago. After completing research on birds in the UK, East Africa and South America, he then spent five years working for BirdLife International before moving to Save the Children, where he was based for four years in Colombia and a further four years in India. He helped found the Neotropical Bird Club.

Grew up in Colombia and has long been active in ecotourism and outdoor recreational work, studying Hotel Administration and Tourism. She worked in a travel agency specialising in ecotourism and wildlife tours in Colombia and was the local organiser for the first commercial bird tours ever to go to Colombia, run over four years by Birdquest.

Patrick Kelsey
Was born in India in 2000 and by the time he was three, he was already describing the plumage of sunbirds in the garden. However, he is now more interested in football, cars and physics than birds.
